Meeting No. 28
Tuesday, March 25, 2003
The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met in camera at 11:09 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Peter Adams, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Peter Adams, Marlene Catterall, Rodger Cuzner, Yvon Godin, Dale Johnston, Joe Jordan, Lynn Myers, Carolyn Parrish, Geoff Regan, John Reynolds, Jacques Saada, Benoît Sauvageau, Werner Schmidt and Guy St-Julien.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: James Robertson, Principal.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the House on Thursday, February 20, 2003, the Committee resumed consideration of criteria for making items of Private Members' Business non-votable.
The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.
It was agreed, - That the draft report, as amended, be adopted as the Committee’s Report to the House and that the Chair present the Report to the House.
Pursuant to Order made by the House on Thursday, February 20, 2003, the Committee commenced consideration of the membership of the Subcommittee on Private Members’ Business.
It was agreed, - That Lynn Myers be a member of the Subcommittee.
At 11:41 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
