MONDAY, DECEMBER 1, 1997
The Sub-Committee on Private Members’ Business, of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs, met at 3:37 o’clock p.m., this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, Yvon Charbonneau (presiding).
Members of the Sub-Committee present: Yvon Charbonneau, Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral, Norman Doyle, Ken Epp and Carolyn Parrish.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Jamie Robertson, Research Officer.
Witnesses: From the House of Commons: Suzanne Tremblay, John Solomon, Gerald Keddy, Roger Gallaway, Réal Ménard, Jim Pankiw and Libby Davies.
Pursuant to the order of reference, from the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs, adopted on Monday, September 29, 1997, the Sub-Committee proceeded to select votable items from bills and motions whose order of precedence has been established on Tuesday, November 25, 1997.
The witnesses made a statement and answered questions.
At 5:05 o’clock p.m., the Sub-Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
