Tuesday, October 30, 1997

The Sub-Committee on Private Members’ Business, of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs, met "In Camera" at 9:10 o’clock a.m., this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, Yvon Charbonneau (presiding).

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Yvon Charbonneau, Madeleine Dalphond-Guiral, Norman Doyle, Ken Epp and Carolyn Parrish.

Other Member present: Lorne Nystrom.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Jamie Robertson, Research Officer.

Pursuant to the order of reference, from the Committee adopted on Monday, September 29, 1997, the Sub-Committee reviewed the selection of votable items from bills and motions whose order of precedence has been established on Tuesday, September 30, 1997.

In accordance with its order of reference, from the Committee dated Tuesday, October 28, 1997, the Sub-Committee proceeded to study the First Report on Private Members' Business tabled during the 35^th Parliament (2^nd Session).

At 9:57 o’clock a.m., the Sub-Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
