Pursuant to the motion adopted by the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development on Thursday, February 4, 2016, and the motion adopted by the Subcommittee on Thursday, May 18, 2017, the Subcommittee resumed its study of the human rights surrounding natural resource extraction within Latin America.

Leah Gardner, Shin Imai, Francisco Ramirez Cuellar by teleconference from Cali, Colombia, and Carlos Monge by videoconference from New York, New York, made statements and answered questions.

At 2:00 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
