Minutes of Proceedings
It was agreed, — That the witness deadline for the study of human rights defenders be Wednesday, April 25, 2019, and that Members be authorized to submit up to two witnesses names each.
It was agreed, — That witnesses from the current study of women human rights defenders also be considered as witnesses for the study of human rights defenders.
ORDERED, — That in relation to the study of human rights defenders, the clerk send correspondence to Amnesty International, the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission, Freedom House, the International Justice Mission, Human Rights Watch, the Voice of the Martyrs, and the Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights.
It was agreed, — That in relation to the study of human rights defenders, the Subcommittee meet on Thursday, May 2, 2019, in order to discuss the potential witnesses.
It was agreed, — That the meetings of Tuesday, May 14 and Thursday, May 16, 2019, be dedicated to Iran Accountability Week.
It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee invite Dafina Savic, Founder and Executive Director of Romanipe Montreal, to appear before the Subcommittee on Tuesday, June 4, 2019.
At 1:50 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
