Pursuant to the motion adopted by the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development on Thursday, February 4, 2016, the Subcommittee proceeded to a briefing on the human rights situation in Venezuela.

Maria Margarita Torres and Orlando Viera-Blanco made statements and answered questions.

It was agreed, — That the news release on the human rights situation in Venezuela be published.

At 2:02 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
