The Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 11:02 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Ed Komarnicki, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Marjolaine Boutin-Sweet, Brad Butt, Chris Charlton, Rodger Cuzner, Joe Daniel, Ed Komarnicki, François Lapointe, Kellie Leitch, Colin Mayes, Phil McColeman and Devinder Shory.

Acting Members present: Claude Gravelle for François Lapointe and Mike Sullivan for Ryan Cleary.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Sandra Gruescu, Analyst ; André Léonard, Analyst.

Witnesses: Air Canada Pilots Association: Craig Blandford, President. The Red Barn: Dan Davidson, Owner and President, Owner, Subway. Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association: Joyce Reynolds, Executive Vice-President, Government Affairs. Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, the Committee resumed its study of the subject matter of clauses 161 to 166 (Immigration and Refugee Protection Act) of Bill C-60, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 21, 2013 and other measures.

Joyce Reynolds, Dan Davidson and Capt Craig Blandford made statements and answered questions.

At 12:02 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:07 p.m., the sitting resumed.

David Sinclair, Paula Turtle and Chris Roberts made statements and answered questions.

At 1:02 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
