Meeting No. 8

Tuesday, February 4, 2003

The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met at 9:12 a.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, David Pratt, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Claude Bachand, Leon Benoit, Ivan Grose, Dominic LeBlanc, Joe McGuire, Anita Neville, Janko Perić, David Pratt, David Price, Peter Stoffer, Elsie Wayne.

In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Michel Rossignol, Research Officer.

Witness: From the Carleton University: Professor Martin Rudner, Director of the Canadian Centre of Intelligence and Security Studies, Norman Paterson School of International Affairs.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee undertook a study on Canada-United States Defence Cooperation.

The witness made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 11:10 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
