Meeting No. 26

Tuesday, May 13, 2003

The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met at 9:11 a.m. this day, in Room 307, West Block, the Chair, David Pratt, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Cheryl Gallant, Dominic LeBlanc, David Pratt, Elsie Wayne.

In attendance: Barry Hamilton, Consultant.

Witnesses: From the Canadian Institute of International Affairs: George Lindsey; Robert Edmonds, Past Chair, National Capital Branch; Blair Seaborn; Clayton Beattie; David Kirkwood; Keith R. Greenaway; Dwight Fulford.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of its study on Canada-United States Defence Cooperation and on other related issues.

George Lindsey made an opening statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 10:59 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
