A meeting of the Working Group on the Long Term Vision and Plan (LTVP) and the Centre Block Rehabilitation was held in camera on Friday, May 6, 2022, at 9:06 a.m., in Room 035-B, West Block.

BLOCK 2 REDEVELOPMENT: INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE DESIGN COMPETITION

Bruce Stanton, the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons and the Long Term Vision and Plan (LTVP) Working Group chair, presented the international architecture design competition on the project of redevelopment of Block 2 and, with Rob Wright, Assistant Deputy Minister, Science and Parliamentary Infrastructure Branch, answered questions.

BLOCK 2 DESIGN COMPETITION: COMMUNICATIONS APPROACH

Rob Wright presented the communication approach to the design competition and, with Michel Patrice, Deputy Clerk, Administration, answered questions.

PUBLIC CAFÉ IN THE PARLIAMENT WELCOME CENTRE

Darrell de Grandmont, Director, Centre Block Program, presented the project of a public café in the Parliament Welcome Centre, and with Michel Patrice and Rob Wright, answered questions.

The working group approved the proposed location and capacity of the Public Café.

The working group proceeded to consider matters related to the working group business. Louis Plamondon raised a matter on interpretation services in the Centre block rehabilitation project.

At 10:27 a.m., the meeting was adjourned.
