Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, November 2, 2016, the Committee resumed its study on immigration to Atlantic Canada (M-39).

Jordi Morgan and Marco Navarro-Génie, by videoconference from Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Juanita Ford, made statements and answered questions.

Motion

Michelle Rempel moved, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee invite the Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship to appear on the subject of the Federal Court ruling regarding citizenship revocation appeals to obtain information on whether the government intends to appeal the ruling, and associated rationale, and that this meeting take place on an urgent basis given the 30 day time limit on appeals.

Motion

Julie Dzerowicz moved, — That the debate be now adjourned.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on the following recorded division:
