Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Tuesday, January 30, 2007, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-36, An Act to amend the Canada Pension Plan and the Old Age Security Act. |

The Clerk informed the Committee of the unavoidable absence of the Chair. |
|
On motion of Mike Lake, it was agreed, — That Michael Savage be elected acting Chair for this meeting. |
|
Michael Savage took the Chair. |
|
The witnesses made statements and answered questions. |
