A meeting of the Working Group on the LTVP and the Centre Block Rehabilitation was held in camera on Friday, March 12, 2021, at 9:30 a.m., in Room 035-B, West Block.

DECORATIVE TARPS

Jennifer Garrett presented the proposed options for decorative tarps and, with Rob Wright, answered questions.

It was agreed, – That the Working Group recommend to the Board of Internal Economy that a printed tarp (“trompe l’oeil”) be used to cover the south façade of the Centre Block building, with stone-coloured tarps on the remaining façades.

PARLIAMENT WELCOME CENTRE ENTRANCE SEQUENCE DESIGN

Bill Hellmuth, Peter Ruggiero and Riccardo Mascia provided a progress update on the Parliament Welcome Centre entrance sequence design and, with the members of the Independent Design Review Panel, answered questions.

JOINT MEETINGS WITH THE SENATE SUBCOMMITTEE ON THE LONG TERM VISION AND PLAN

Michel Patrice presented the proposed operating procedures for joint meetings with the Senate Subcommittee on the Long Term Vision and Plan.

ENGAGEMENT STRATEGY FOR MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT

The Working Group discussed a video proposal as part of the engagement strategy for Members of Parliament.

PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT SURVEY

Rob Wright presented the Public Services and Procurement Canada public engagement survey and answered questions.
