Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, the committee resumed its study of government's obligations to victims of crime.

Morrell Andrews, Sharlene Bosma, Mike Ilesic and Dianne Ilesic made statements and answered questions.

At 4:44 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:50 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Hamed Esmaeilion made a statement and answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed supplementary budget in the amount of $5,500, for the study of government's obligations to victims of crime, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, on Monday, October 17, the first hour of the meeting be on the committee’s study on the government obligations to victims of crime and that the second hour be dedicated to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the members of the committee submit their list of potential witnesses for the study of the subject matter of Bill C-28, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (self-induced extreme intoxication) to the clerk no later than Wednesday, October 12, 2022.

At 5:42 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
