Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, January 31, 2022, the committee proceeded to a briefing on the Current Situation in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

Jennie Chen made a statement and, with Rakesh Patry, David Hutchison, Catherine Godin and Carolyn Knobel, answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the analysts update the witnesses in the workplan of the situation at the Russia-Ukraine border and the implications for peace and security for the meeting on Thursday, March 31; and that the Chair, Vice Chair and NDP Member approve this change on behalf of the Committee.

It was agreed, — That the analysts draft a press release for the study of the situation at the Russia-Ukraine border and the implications for peace and security.

At 1:08 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
