Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, October 4, 2017, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-48, An Act respecting the regulation of vessels that transport crude oil or persistent oil to or from ports or marine installations located along British Columbia's north coast.

Modestus Nobels, Caitlyn Vernon and Gavin Smith made statements and answered questions.

At 4:29 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:35 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the meeting of Thursday, November 9, 2017, be devoted to the study of the Supplementary Estimates (B) 2017-18 and that the Minister of Transport along with the Minister of Infrastructure, with their respective officials, be invited to appear.
