It was agreed, — That the first hour of the meeting of Thursday, November 30, 2017, be dedicated to the study of broadband connectivity in rural Canada.
At 11:54 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 11:59 a.m., the sitting resumed in a public and televised session.
The Chair called Vote 1b under Department of Industry
The Minister made a statement and, with John Knubley, answered questions.
At 12:15 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

Questioning of the witnesses resumed.
Maxime Bernier moved, — That the Committee review the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (BIA), the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act and the Investment Canada Act (ICA); and that the Committee invite relevant stakeholders to appear before the end of 2017 in order to provide members with information about the impact on pensioners of companies involved in bankruptcy proceedings such as Sears Canada and U.S. Steel.
Questioning of the witnesses resumed.
At 1:15 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
