The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met by videoconference at 11:01 a.m. this day, in Room 214, Wellington Building, the Chair, Derek Lee, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Rob Anders, Diane Bourgeois, Patrick Brown, Paul Calandra, Jacques Gourde, Martha Hall Findlay, Derek Lee, Pat Martin, Hon. Dan McTeague, Jean-Yves Roy and Chris Warkentin.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Lydia Scratch, Analyst; Hughes Létourneau, Intern.

 

Witnesses: Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance: John M. Reid, President and Chief Executive Officer; Charles Duffett, Senior Vice-President and Chief Information Officer. US Small Business Administration: Joseph G. Jordan, Associate Administrator, Government Contracting and Business Development.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(c) and the motions adopted by the Committee on Thursday, February 5 and Tuesday February 10, 2009, the Committee resumed its study of the federal government's procurement processes.
 

John Reid and Charles Duffett made statements and answered questions.

 

At 12:00 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:05 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 

Joseph G. Jordan made a statement and answered questions by videoconference from Washington, District of Columbia.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

At 1:12 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
