The Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met at 9:37 a.m. this day, in the Asia Pacific Hall, Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue, Vancouver, British Columbia, the Chair, Tom Wappel, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Raynald Blais, John Cummins, Loyola Hearn, Randy Kamp, Gerald Keddy, Shawn Murphy, Jean-Yves Roy and Tom Wappel.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: François Côté, Analyst.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study of the 2004 Fraser River sockeye salmon harvest.
 

The witnesses on Panel 1 - Auditing and Historical Background, John Fraser, Ronald Thompson and Wayne Strelioff made statements and answered questions.

 

At 12:06 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 1:41 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 
The witness on Panel 2 - Trolling, Michael Griswold made a statement and answered questions.
 
The witnesses on Panel 3 - Gillnetting, Bob McKamey, Mike W. Forrest, Les Rombough and Ken Martin, made statements and answered questions.
