The Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development met at 9:04 a.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, Charles L. Caccia, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Bernard Bigras, Charles L. Caccia, Joe Comartin, Paul Forseth, Gar Knutson, Rick Laliberte, James Moore, Karen Redman, Julian Reed, Andy Savoy, Hélène Scherrer.
Acting Member present: Yvon Charbonneau for Aileen Carroll.
Associate Member present: Clifford Lincoln.

Witnesses: From the Royal Society of Canada: Prof. Conrad G. Brunk, Academic Dean and Professor, Philosophy, Conrad Grebel College, University of Waterloo; Prof. Brian E.
