Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the subcommittee on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, the subcommittee commenced its study of the impacts of COVID-19 on human trafficking and modern slavery.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

Committee Business
The subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the subcommittee hold a briefing on the political situation in Iran on June 15, 2021, that it hear from Iranian nationals established in Canada, that the subcommittee produce a statement outlining the situation, and that members submit suggested witnesses to the Clerk as soon as possible.

At 8:14 p.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
