Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, October 22, 2020, the committee proceeded to a briefing on the current situation in Nigeria.

Obianuju Catherine Udeh, Osai Ojigho and Tim Okafor made statements and, with Stella Kemdirim and Abdulrazak Namdas, answered questions.

At 1:32 p.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the subcommittee continue to sit for an additional 15 minutes.

At 1:47 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 2:53 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $825.00, for the briefing on the current situation in Nigeria, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $750.00, for the study of the human rights situation of the Uyghurs, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That members submit their prioritized list of witnesses for the study of recognition for international human rights champions to the clerk no later than Friday, December 4, 2020.

At 3:27 p.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
