Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the subcommittee on Tuesday. October 27, 2020, the subcommittee resumed its study of the role of the Canadian Ombudsperson for Responsible Enterprise

At 7:33 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Surya Deva and Mairead Lavery made statements and answered questions.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the subcommittee on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, the subcommittee resumed its study of the impact of COVID-19 on displaced persons, with a focus on displaced persons from Venezuela and Myanmar.

The subcommittee proceeded to consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Igniting a crisis: The devastating impacts of COVID-19 on displaced populations globally".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

At 8:41 p.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
