The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met at 11:04 a.m. this day, in Room 228, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Pat Martin, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Dan Albas, Jay Aspin, Denis Blanchette, Kelly Block, Peter Braid, Hon. Ron Cannan, Linda Duncan, Jacques Gourde, Pat Martin, Hon. John McCallum, Mathieu Ravignat and Bernard Trottier.

Acting Members present: Mike Wallace for Hon. Ron Cannan.

Associate Members present: Mike Wallace.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Raphaelle Deraspe, Analyst ; Lindsay McGlashan, Analyst.

Witnesses: Treasury Board Secretariat: Bill Matthews, Assistant Secretary, Expenditure Management Sector; Sylvain Michaud, Executive Director, Government Accounting Policy and Reporting; George Samiotis, Director, Heritage, Cultural and Veteran Affairs; Sally Thornton, Executive Director, Expenditure Strategies and Estimates, Expenditure Management Sector.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(c)(vii) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, the Committee resumed its study of the process for considering the estimates and supply.

Bill Matthews made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 12:52 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:53 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

It was agreed, — That, notwithstanding any previous decision, the appearance by the Assistant Deputy Minister, Departmental Oversight, Public Works and Government Services Canada, with regard to the study on the Integrated Relocation Program take place during the meeting of Tuesday, June 4, 2013, concerning the Integrity Provisions for Procurement and Real Property Transactions.

At 12:56 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
