MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS

Thursday, March 16, 2000
The Standing Committee on Public Accounts met in camera at 4:07 p.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, John Williams, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Hec Clouthier, John Finlay, Mac Harb, Marlene Jennings, Beth Phinney, John Richardson, Benoît Sauvageau, Judy Sgro and John Williams.
Acting Member present: Jean Augustine for Alex Shepherd.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Jean Dupuis and Brian O'Neal, Research Officers.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(e), the Committee proceeded to the consideration of a Draft Report on Chapter 21 (Financial Information Strategy - Departmental Readiness) of the November 1999 Report of the Auditor General of Canada.
It was agreed, - That the Draft Report, as amended, be concurred in.
It was agreed, - That the Chair be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes to the Report as may be necessary without changing the substance of the Report.
It was ordered, - That the Report, as amended, be presented to the House of Commons as the Seventh Report of the Committee.
At 4:32 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
