Meeting No. 32
Thursday, October 5, 2000
The Standing Committee on Public Accounts met at 11:02 a.m. this day, in Room 536, Wellington Building, for the purpose of electing a Chair, pursuant to Standing Orders 106(1) and (2).
Members of the Committee present: Mac Harb, Loyola Hearn, Steve Mahoney, Philip Mayfield, Gilles-A. Perron, Beth Phinney, John Richardson, Judy Sgro and John Williams.
Acting Member present: Keith Martin for Gary Lunn.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Jean Dupuis and Brian O'Neal, Research Officers.
The Clerk of the Committee presided over the election of a Chair.
On motion of Philip Mayfield, seconded by Steve Mahoney, it was agreed, - That John Williams do take the Chair of this Committee as Chairman.
John Williams took the Chair.
On motion of Mac Harb, seconded by John Richardson, it was agreed, - That Steve Mahoney be elected Vice-Chair of the Committee.
On motion of Steve Mahoney, seconded by Mac Harb, it was agreed, - That John Richardson be elected Vice-Chair of the Committee.
At 11:04 a.m., the Committee adjourned until 3:30 p.m., this afternoon.
