The Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met at 9:13 a.m. this day, in Room 701, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Wayne Easter, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Sarkis Assadourian, Yvan Bernier, John Cummins, Wayne Easter, Bill Gilmour, Nancy Karetak-Lindell, Gerald Keddy, Marcel Proulx, Lou Sekora, Paul Steckle, Peter Stoffer.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Alan Nixon, Research Officer.

Witness: From the Atlantic Salmon Federation: Stephen A. Chase, Vice President, Government Affairs.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee proceeded to consider Fisheries Issues.

The witness made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 10:55 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
