Minutes of Proceedings
It was agreed, — That the proposed supplementary budget in the amount of $7,000.00, for the study of Bill C-27, An Act to enact the Consumer Privacy Protection Act, the Personal Information and Data Protection Tribunal Act and the Artificial Intelligence and Data Act and to make consequential and related amendments to other Acts, be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $22,000.00, for the study of Credit Card Practices and Regulations in Canada, be adopted.
Darren Hannah, Balinder Ahluwalia, Karl Littler, and Jay Dorey made statements and with Martin Leman and Charles Docherty, answered questions.
Rick Perkins gave notice of the following motion:
That, the committee order the production of all documents, emails, memos and any materials related to the Liberal government's $50 million handout to Mastercard, including all communications between ISED, PCO, and PMO with Mastercard regarding the grant. And the committee report to the House to express its concern regarding the value for money for taxpayers on the nearly $50 million taxpayer dollars given to Mastercard by the Trudeau Liberal government.
At 5:45 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
