Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, March 30, 2023, the committee commenced its study of economic and fiscal outlook.

Yves Giroux made a statement and answered questions.

At 11:34 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee resumed its study of the report of the Bank of Canada on monetary policy.

Tiff Macklem made a statement and, with Carolyn Rogers, answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

Terry Beech gave notice of the following motion:

That, should a Budget Implementation Act be tabled in the House, the committee commence a pre-study of said legislation, and that the committee invite officials to provide briefings on the contents of the bill as well as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.
