The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of pre-budget consultations in advance of the 2024 budget, the proposed supplementary budget in the amount of $ 40,640.00, for the committee’s travel to Fredericton, NB/ Charlottetown, PE, Halifax, NS, St. John’s, NL in Fall 2023, be adopted.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, September 21, 2023, the committee commenced its study of policy decisions and market forces that have led to increases in the cost of buying or renting a home in Canada.

Bob Dugan and Alison McDermott made statements and, with Aled Ab Iorweth, Chris Woodcock, Nicolas Moreau, Miodrag Jovanovic, Julie Turcotte and Janet Goulding, answered questions.

At 12:50 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 1:00 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

By unanimous consent, it was agreed, — That, in relation to the access to information and privacy request received by the Privy Council Office and communicated to the committee on Thursday, July 13, 2023, the committee instruct the clerk of the committee to authorize disclosure of the committee documents contained in the said request without any personal information.

At 1:08 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
