Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a)(iii), the Committee commenced its study of parallel debating chambers.

David Natzler, by videoconference from London, United Kingdom, made a statement and answered questions.

At 11:04 a.m., Larry Bagnell took the Chair.

At 11:52 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:56 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a)(iii), the Committee proceeded to a briefing on the implementation of changes to the House of Commons petition system.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

Motion

David de Burgh Graham moved, — That, in relation to the status of e-petitions at dissolution, the Committee recommend that the status quo be maintained.

After debate, the question was put on the motion and it was agreed to, by a show of hands: YEAS: 4; NAYS: 3.

At 12:56 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
