Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of strategic electricity inter-ties.

Derek Stenclik, by videoconference from Schenectady, New York, and John Matthiesen, by videoconference from New York, New York, made statements and answered questions.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

At 4:43 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:46 p.m., the sitting resumed.

It was agreed, — That the Committee undertake a study of approximately six meetings to examine secondary supply chain products in the forestry sector in Canada, with consideration of: (1) the employment and economic impacts, (2) the environmental aspects of these industries, (3) the development of energy-efficient technologies; and that the Committee report its findings to the House.

It was agreed, — That, no later than Wednesday, October 24, 2017, parties suggest witnesses to be invited to appear at the meeting scheduled for Wednesday, November 1, 2017, with regard to the study on secondary supply chain products in Canada’s forest sector.

It was agreed, — That, no later than Friday, October 27, 2017, parties submit to the clerk their comprehensive lists of suggested witnesses for the study on secondary supply chain products in Canada’s forest sector; and that the lists be taken into consideration at the meeting scheduled for Monday, October 30, 2017.

At 4:56 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
