Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, December 6, 2018, the Committee resumed its study of international best practices for engaging with indigenous communities regarding major energy projects.

Liza Mack, by videoconference from Anchorage, Alaska, and Bill Erasmus, made statements and answered questions.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

Motion

Shannon Stubbs moved, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee invite the Minister of Natural Resources, and representatives from the National Energy Board to appear, at their earliest possible convenience, on the Supplementary Estimates (B), 2018-19; and that this meeting be televised.

Debate arose thereon.

By unanimous consent, it was agreed, — That the Committee resume consideration of the motion following the questioning of the witnesses.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

The Committee resumed consideration of the motion moved by Shannon Stubbs, which read as follows:

That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee invite the Minister of Natural Resources, and representatives from the National Energy Board to appear, at their earliest possible convenience, on the Supplementary Estimates (B), 2018-19; and that this meeting be televised.

After debate, the question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on the following recorded division:
