The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee's next study be entitled: "Indigenous Women in the Federal Justice and Correctional Systems".

It was agreed, — That, subject to the availability of witnesses, one (1) meeting be added to the existing work plan for the study of Indigenous women in the federal justice and correctional systems.

It was agreed, — That the Clerk of the Committee, in collaboration with the analysts and in consultation with the Chair, issue a news release to announce the Committee's study on Indigenous women in the federal justice and correctional systems; and to invite the public to submit briefs in relation to the study by no later than Friday, January 26, 2018.

It was agreed, — That the Committee invite the Minister of Status of Women and departmental officials to appear for one meeting, no later than Thursday, November 30, 2017, in order to consider the Supplementary Estimates (B) for the 2017-18 fiscal year; explain the government’s response to the Committee’s Seventh Report entitled Taking Action to End Violence Against Women and Girls in Canada, and provide a progress update on the implementation of Gender-Based Analysis +; and that this meeting be televised.

At 11:53 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
