The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development met at 11:00 a.m. this day, in Room C-120, 1 Wellington Street, the Chair, Dean Allison, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Dean Allison, Lois Brown, Paul Dewar, Marc Garneau, Peter Goldring, Hélène Laverdière, Gary Ralph Schellenberger and Bernard Trottier.

 

Acting Members present: Jean Rousseau for Romeo Saganash and Mark Warawa for Hon. Laurie Hawn.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Allison Goody, Analyst; Brian Hermon, Analyst. House of Commons: Caroline Massicotte, Procedural Clerk.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, February 3, 2014, the Committee resumed its study of the situation in Ukraine.
 

Matthew Levin, Tamara Guttman and Dave Metcalfe made statements and, with BGen Todd N. Balfe and Drew Leyburne, answered questions.

 

At 12:01 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:07 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, the Committee resumed its study of the protection of children and youth in developing countries.
 

Sandeep Prasad, Maria Martini, Mark Moore and Adeline Lescanne-Gautier made statements and answered questions.

 

At 1:05 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
