The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development met at 4:30 p.m. this day, in Room 306, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Dean Allison, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Dean Allison, David Anderson, Lois Brown, Paul Dewar, Marc Garneau, Nina Grewal and Hélène Laverdière.

 

Acting Members present: Colin Carrie for Peter Goldring, Dan Harris for Romeo Saganash and Andrew Saxton for Gary Ralph Schellenberger.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Allison Goody, Analyst; James Lee, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the Committee resumed consideration of the Main Estimates 2014-15: Votes 1, 5, 10, 15, L20 and L25 under FOREIGN AFFAIRS, TRADE AND DEVELOPMENT, Vote 1 under INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH CENTRE and Vote 1 under INTERNATIONAL JOINT COMMISSION (CANADIAN SECTIONS), referred to the Committee on Thursday, February 27, 2014.
 

At 4:30 p.m., by unanimous consent and pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit.

 

By unanimous consent, the Chair called Votes 1, 5, 10, 15, L20 and L25 under FOREIGN AFFAIRS, TRADE AND DEVELOPMENT.

 

Votes 1, 5, 10, 15, L20 and L25 under FOREIGN AFFAIRS, TRADE AND DEVELOPMENT carried severally on division.

 

The Chair called Vote 1 under INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH CENTRE.

 

Vote 1 under INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH CENTRE carried on division.

 

The Chair called Vote 1 under INTERNATIONAL JOINT COMMISSION (CANADIAN SECTIONS).

 

Vote 1 under INTERNATIONAL JOINT COMMISSION (CANADIAN SECTIONS) carried on division.

 

ORDERED, — That the Chair report Votes 1, 5, 10, 15, L20 and L25 under FOREIGN AFFAIRS, TRADE AND DEVELOPMENT, Vote 1 under INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH CENTRE and Vote 1 under INTERNATIONAL JOINT COMMISSION (CANADIAN SECTIONS) to the House.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $11,700, for the study of the Subcommittee on International Human Rights on the Human Rights Situation in Iran, be adopted.

 

At 4:34 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
