The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met at 11:32 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Joe Preston, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Scott Armstrong, Nathan Cullen, Parm Gill, Alexandrine Latendresse, Tom Lukiwski, Dave MacKenzie, Costas Menegakis, Joe Preston, Scott Reid and Craig Scott.

 

Acting Members present: Hon. Stéphane Dion for Hon. Dominic LeBlanc, Claude Gravelle for Nycole Turmel and Gerald Keddy for Tom Lukiwski.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Andre Barnes, Analyst; Michel Bédard, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Malcolm Allen, M.P., Welland; Dean Allison, M.P., Niagara West—Glanbrook; Rick Dykstra, M.P., St. Catharines; Hon. Diane Finley, P.C., M.P., Haldimand—Norfolk.

 

Participants present: Elections Canada: Johanne Boisvert, Assistant Director, Analysis; Benoit Montpetit, Team Leader, Technical Expert, Electoral Geography.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 32(5), the Committee resumed its study of the report of the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for Ontario 2012, referred to the Committee on Monday, February 25, 2013.
 

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

 

At 12:02 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:06 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 32(5), the Committee resumed its study of the report of the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for Saskatchewan 2012, referred to the Committee on Monday, January 28, 2013.
 

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

 

At 1:04 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
