The Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics met at 11:13 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Paul Szabo, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Kelly Block, Patricia Davidson, Hon. Wayne Easter, Judy Foote, Carole Freeman, Greg Rickford, Bill Siksay, Paul Szabo and Ève-Mary Thaï Thi Lac.

 

Acting Members present: Alex Atamanenko for Bill Siksay and Guy Lauzon for Pierre Poilievre.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Alysia Davies, Analyst; Dara Lithwick, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada: Elizabeth Denham, Assistant Privacy Commissioner; Tom Pulcine, Director General and Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Services Branch.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 81(5), the Committee commenced consideration of the Supplementary Estimates (C) 2009-2010: Vote 45c under JUSTICE, vote 20c under PARLIAMENT referred to the Committee on Wednesday, March 3, 2010.
 

Elizabeth Denham made a statement and, with the other witness, answered questions.

 

The Chair called Vote 45c under JUSTICE.

 

Vote 45c under JUSTICE carried.

 

ORDERED, — That the Chair report Vote 45c under JUSTICE to the House.

 

The Chair called Vote 20c under PARLIAMENT.

 

Vote 20c under PARLIAMENT carried.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure meet on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, during the time slot in which the Committee normally meets.
