The Standing Committee on Finance met in a televised session at 10:01 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Brian Pallister, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Diane Ablonczy, Dean Del Mastro, Rick Dykstra, Hon. John McCallum, Hon. John McKay, Massimo Pacetti, Brian Pallister, Michael Savage, Thierry St-Cyr, Hon. Garth Turner and Judy Wasylycia-Leis.

 

Acting Members present: Paul Crête for Pierre A. Paquette.

 

In attendance: Standing Committee on Finance: Shaila Anwar, Co-Clerk of the Committee. Library of Parliament: June Dewetering, Principal; Sheena Starky, Analyst.

Pursuant to Standing Order 83.1, the Committee resumed its pre-budget consultations 2006.
 

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

 
At 11:26 a.m. the Committee proceeded to the consideration of Bill C-294, An Act to amend the Income Tax Act (sports and recreation programs).
 

On motion of Michael Savage, it was agreed, — That the draft report be adopted.

 

On motion of Michael Savage, it was agreed, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

 

At 11:29 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:38 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 83.1, the Committee resumed its pre-budget consultations 2006.
 

At 11:53 a.m., Massimo Pacetti took the Chair.
