The Standing Committee on Finance met in a televised session at 3:35 p.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Brian Pallister, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Diane Ablonczy, Rick Dykstra, Luc Harvey, Hon. John McCallum, Hon. John McKay, Massimo Pacetti, Brian Pallister, Michael Savage, Thierry St-Cyr, Hon. Garth Turner and Judy Wasylycia-Leis.

 

Acting Members present: Paule Brunelle for Yvan Loubier and Paul Crête for Thierry St-Cyr.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: June Dewetering, Principal; Sheena Starky, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Canadian International Trade Tribunal: Pierre Gosselin, Chair, Office of the Chairman; John Greig, Executive Director General of Research. Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada: Sandra Wing, Senior Deputy Director; Alfred Tsang, Assistant Director, Finance and Administration, Strategies and Partnerships Sector; Paul Dubrule, General Counsel, Legal Services.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the Committee commenced consideration of the Main Estimates 2006-2007: VOTE 25 under FINANCE (Canadian International Trade Tribunal) referred to the Committee onTuesday, April 25, 2006.
 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee commenced consideration of the Annual Report 2004-2005 of the CANADIAN INTERNATIONAL TRADE TRIBUNAL.
 

By unanimous consent, the Chair calls Vote 25 under FINANCE (Canadian International Trade Tribunal).
