The Subcommittee on Solicitation Laws of the Standing Committee on Justice, Human Rights, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness met at 8:37 a.m. this day, in the Nelson/Denman room, The Coast Plaza Hotel and Suites, Vancouver, British Columbia, the Chair, John Maloney, presiding.

 

Members of the Subcommittee present: Paule Brunelle, Libby Davies, Hedy Fry, Art Hanger and John Maloney.

 

Other Members present: Réal Ménard.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Standing Committee on Justice, Human Rights, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness on November 24, 2004, the Subcommittee resumed its study of Solicitation Laws.
 

Jacquelyn Nelson, Jaqueline Lynn, Ellen Woodsworth, Lynne Kennedy, Doug Le Pard, Patricia Barnes, Liz Bennett and Garth Barriere made statements and answered questions.

 

At 10:48 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:55 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 

Annie Parker, Janine Stevenson and Scarlett Lake made statements and answered questions.

 

At 11:33 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

 

At 11:40 a.m., the Subcommittee resumed sitting in camera.

 

At 12:19 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

 

At 12:25 p.m., the Subcommittee resumed sitting in public.

 

Melissa Farley made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 1:16 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 1:21 p.m., the sitting resumed.
