The Subcommittee on Solicitation Laws of the Standing Committee on Justice, Human Rights, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness met at 8:30 a.m. this day, in the Toronto III Meeting Room, Hilton Toronto, Toronto, Ontario, the Chair, John Maloney, presiding.

 

Members of the Subcommittee present: Paule Brunelle, Libby Davies, Art Hanger and John Maloney.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Standing Committee on Justice, Human Rights, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness on November 24, 2004, the Subcommittee resumed its study of Solicitation Laws.
 

Glenn Betteridge, Howard Page, Greg Paul, Susan Miner, Mary Bone, John Muise and Kyle Rae made statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

 

At 10:23 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:33 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 

Benson Li, Lea Greenwood, Evan Smith, Richard Hudler, Maria-Bélair Ordonez, Dominic Tse, George Schuurman, Lorraine Hewitt and Anastasia Kusyk made statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

 

At 11:32 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:44 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 

Beverly McAleese, Maurganne Mooney, Valerie Scott, Jim Watkin, Cindy Campbell, Sheila Lipiatt, Leslie Milne and Wendy Babcock made statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.
