Meeting No. 4

Wednesday, February 19, 2003

The Subcommittee on International Trade, Trade Disputes and Investment of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 3:35 p.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, Mac Harb, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Stéphane Bergeron, Bill Casey, Mac Harb, Pat O'Brien, Bob Speller, Tony Valeri.

Other Members present: John Duncan, Murray Calder, Raymond Simard.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Marcus Pistor, Analyst.

Witness: From the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada: John Wiebe, President and CEO.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), Examination in view of strengthening economic relations between Canada and Asia.

John Wiebe made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 4:45 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
