The Subcommittee on International Trade, Trade Disputes and Investment of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 5:40 p.m., via videoconference with Vancouver BC, this day, in Room 701, La Promenade Building, the Acting Chair, John Duncan, presiding.

Members of the Sub-Committee present: Stéphane Bergeron, Rick Casson, Mac Harb.

Acting Members present: Raymond Simard for Tony Valeri; Murray Calder for Pat O’Brien.

Other Member present: John Duncan.

In attendance: From the Paliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Marcus Pistor, Analyst.

Witnesses: From the Comox CanadAsia Business Society: Ian Cheng, President; Ken Ing, Member. From the Coast Forest & Lumber Association: Ken McKeen, Consultant.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), Examination in view of strengthening economic relations between Canada and Asia.

The witnesses made opening statements and answered questions.

At 7:13 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
