The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $2,000, for the briefing on Report 21 of the 42nd Parliament entitled “West Coast Fisheries: Risks and Benefits”, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $26,000, for the study of the allocation of resources to the Great Lakes Fishery Commission, be adopted.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, January 20, 2022, the committee resumed its study of foreign ownership and corporate concentration of fishing licenses and quota.

Duncan Cameron and Brad Callaghan made statements and, with Anthony Durocher, answered questions.

At 4:34 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:39 p.m., the sitting resumed.

At 4:39 p.m., Mel Arnold took the Chair.
