Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, the committee resumed its study of the traceability of fish and seafood products.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 12:19 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:28 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the committee invite the Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, and senior officials, for one hour to appear in consideration of the Supplementary Estimates (C), 2021-22 related to her department, before March 26th, 2022.

It was agreed, — That in relation to the study of the traceability of fish and seafood products, another hour be dedicated to hearing further witnesses.

It was agreed, — That the committee urge the government and other member nations to remove Russia from the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organization executive; that the committee issue a news release, and; that all parties be represented in a press conference to communicate the motion as it stands.

At 12:56 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
