Minutes of Proceedings
It was agreed that the meetings of October 3 and October 5, 2017 be cancelled.
At 9:00 a.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 9:12 a.m., the sitting resumed in public.
It was agreed, — That the Analysts and the Clerk of the Committee, in consultation with the Chair, prepare a news release for publication on the Committee's website and for distribution to local media, in relation to the Committee's travel in October 2017.
Todd Doherty moved, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee immediately undertake a study of no less than two (2) meetings on the proposed changes to the tax system outlined in the government’s consultations titled “Tax Planning Using Private Corporations” as publicly released on July 18, 2017, in order to assess the impact of the changes on Canada’s fisheries, small business fishing companies, and the small businesses that support fishing companies and their surrounding communities; and that the findings be reported to the House.
Bernadette Jordan moved, — That the debate be now adjourned.
The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on the following recorded division:
