Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Monday, April 16, 2018, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-68, An Act to amend the Fisheries Act and other Acts in consequence.

Keith Sullivan, by videoconference from St-John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Pierre Gratton and Joshua Laughren made statements and, with Justyna Laurie-Lean, answered questions.

At 9:39 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:42 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Susanna Fuller, by videoconference from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Sergio Marchi, Terry Toner and Ian MacPherson made statements and answered questions.

At 10:32 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:35 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, notwithstanding the motion adopted on February 16, 2016, for the remaining meetings in relation to the study of Bill C-68, An Act to amend the Fisheries Act and other Acts in consequence, witnesses be given ten (10) minutes to make their opening statement and that, during the questioning of witnesses, five (5) minutes be allocated to each party in the following order: Liberal Party, Conservative Party, New Democratic Party.

At 10:50 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
