ORDERED, — That the Chair report Votes 1b and 5b, under Canada Revenue Agency in the Supplementary Estimates (B) 2016-17, to the House.
James Wu made a statement and answered questions.
It was agreed, — That, in relation to the Pre-Budget Consultations in advance of the 2017 budget, each party submit to the Clerk their recommendations for the report no later than 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, and that the Clerk distribute the recommendations to the Members of the Committee later that same day.
The Committee resumed consideration of the motion of Scott Duvall, — That the Finance Committee make a report to the House recommending that the government amend Bill C-26, An Act to amend the Canada Pension Plan, the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board Act and the Income Tax Act, at report stage in order to include child rearing and disability drop out provisions like those present in the existing Canada Pension Plan.
The debate continued.
Jennifer O'Connell moved, — That the motion be amended by replacing all the words after "government" with the words "raise the issue of child rearing and disability drop out provisions at the next Provincial and Territorial Finance Ministers meeting in December, in the context of the triennial review of the Canada Pension Plan”.
Dan Albas moved, — That the Committee do now adjourn.
