On motion of Greg Fergus, it was agreed, — That, in relation to Bill C-82, An Act to implement a multilateral convention to implement tax treaty related measures to prevent base erosion and profit shifting, the proposed budget in the amount of $3,500 be adopted.
It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of Bill S-6, An Act to implement the Convention between Canada and the Republic of Madagascar for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income, members of the Committee submit their witness lists to the Clerk of the Committee no later than midnight on Thursday, April 4, 2019; that the Committee hear from witnesses on Tuesday, April 9, 2019; that officials from the Canada Revenue Agency be invited to appear at the meeting of Tuesday, April 9, 2019; that amendments be submitted to the Clerk of the Committee in both officials languages by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2019; and that the Committee proceed to clause-by-clause consideration of Bill S-6 on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.
RULING BY THE CHAIR
In response to a point of order raised by Blake Richards concerning the adjournment of the meeting on Tuesday, February 21, 2019, the Chair ruled that the meeting was adjourned properly, as there was disorder.
At 12:33 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 1:03 p.m., the sitting resumed.
